: This grandfather was a Scot said to have married a Creek woman and to have been loyal to the Crown in the American Revolution. His name was LASHLEY. There must have been other decendants. Have you heard?
Since my first reply, I have checked with my late uncle's family, and they believe that their Lashley ancestor came even earlier than the Revolution: he was a British footsoldier who came during the French and Indian War, and remained here after the war, first going to NY Colony, then the son coming on to what is now OH.
Is this your Lashley family line?
