Dentallium shells were considered of great value to Native Americans. They were used to decorate many things and their heavy use showed wealth..They are still used in many way especially in very tradional, old style regalia.

Beaded center chokers feature bone hairpipes and semi-precious or glass beads . The central piece is beadwork crafted with tiny hexagon beads mounted on buckskin. Metal beads are brass or nickle-plated brass.
