Dentallium shells were considered of great value to Native Americans. They were used to decorate many things and their heavy use showed wealth..They are still used in many way especially in very tradional, old style regalia.

The size of a choker or bracelet may be reduced by removing the end sections and replacing the ties. We will be happy to do this if requested.
